NC Sen. Kevin Corbin won’t seek Edwards’ congressional seat in November
N.C. Senator Kevin Corbin (R-Macon) announced he will not run to replace U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards in the November election and will instead continue his state Senate reelection campaign. Edwards withdrew from his reelection bid following a U.S. House Ethics report alleging inappropriate conduct, and the NCGOP’s 11th Congressional District Executive Committee is expected to select a replacement soon.
