Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office investigating violent assault

A 27-year-old man is being treated for life-threatening injuries in Colorado Springs after a violent assault near Highway 96 on St. Charles Mesa. The Pueblo County Sheriffs Office and BNSF Railway Police are investigating the stabbing and shooting incident, which occurred just east of Pueblo city limits.
