Courts rule Trump administration can’t cancel $22B in climate grants
Two courts ruled against the Trump administration's attempt to cancel climate grants, ordering the EPA to reinstate $22 billion in funding for environmental and climate justice programs. A federal appeals court blocked the termination of $20 billion in clean energy grants, while a district judge mandated the restoration of $1.6 billion in grants after finding the EPA's withdrawal unlawful.
