Human remains found in Douglas County tied to Mendota Heights missing man, police say

Human remains found in Douglas County, Wisconsin, are believed to belong to 89-year-old Edward Hanton of Mendota Heights, who went missing on July 22. His car was discovered in Douglas County on July 27, and personal items at the remains' location indicate the body is Hanton. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
