New law proposed by Illinois state rep. intern reforms sexual assault reporting
A new Illinois law amends sexual assault reporting procedures, allowing victims to request the gender of an interviewing officer and to have a support person during interviews. Stephanie Bolanos, 20, developed the bill as an intern for State Rep. Daniel Didech.
