Exclusive: Cambridge University backtracks on divesting from arms companies

The University of Cambridge has reversed its plan to divest from weapons companies by implementing a monitoring regime for investments in conventional weapons. This decision, approved by the University Council on 16 April, follows a 2024 report by a working group established in response to a student protest organized by Cambridge for Palestine.
