Donavan McKinney beats Shri Thanedar for Democratic nomination in 13th Congressional District

Donavan McKinney won the Democratic primary for the 13th Congressional District with 51.47% of the vote in Wayne County, defeating incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar. The district includes parts of Detroit and several other communities. McKinney has served in the Michigan House of Representatives since 2023.
