A ban on single-use plastic in Guntur will take effect on August 17, with an awareness drive conducted in ward secretariats and inspection teams set to monitor warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, and street vendors. Violators will face immediate fines via the 'Swachh Guntur App'.
