Australian airline Jetstar will begin charging passengers to use overhead lockers for carry-on bags starting in February 2027. The policy allows free storage of small items under seats but imposes fees for overhead compartments, starting at 25 Australian dollars one way, to reduce boarding gate stress and streamline operations.
