Hong Kong tests thermal drones to catch illegal smoking at construction sites
Hong Kong labour authorities are testing infrared thermal-imaging drones to detect illegal smoking at construction sites, planning to integrate AI for identifying smoking workers. Since a July 17 smoking ban, 1,400 sites were inspected, with 39 fixed-penalty notices and 11 improvement notices issued to contractors.
