L.A. driver accused of assaulting officer in custody after chase

A man is in custody after a police pursuit that began in the San Fernando Valley and continued through Venice and Century City. The chase started around 9:30 p.m. and involved the 405 Freeway before exiting to surface streets. The driver is accused of assaulting an officer.
