Dems rally around best hope to defend governor's mansion from GOP takeover
Democrats selected Cindy Holscher as their candidate to challenge Republican Ty Masterson in Kansas' November 3 governor's race. The election follows Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly's term limit and a competitive primary process with multiple candidates on both sides. A constitutional amendment to elect Kansas Supreme Court justices directly was also on the primary ballot.
