Piece of SpaceX rocket to crash into moon at high speed
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket's second stage, launched in January 2025 to carry a Firefly Aerospace lunar lander, is set to crash into the moon at 8,690km/h early Wednesday, creating a lunar dust plume. The four-tonne object will impact the moon around 2.35am ET.
