Nigeria Orders All Government MDAs to Appoint Data Protection Officers
Nigeria has ordered all federal ministries, departments, and agencies to appoint Data Protection Officers following a service-wide circular dated 7 November 2022. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the Nigeria Data Protection Act into law on 12 June 2023, replacing the earlier 2019 version.
