Ayana Lage experienced postpartum psychosis after giving birth to her daughter in 2020, leading to a 17-day hospitalization. She developed delusions, believing she was a prophet and her daughter was Jesus, despite having a history of depression and anxiety and being on medication. Lage later became an advocate and wrote a memoir about her experience.
