Man accused of swindling Auburn Hills woman out of several hundred thousand dollars for months
A New Jersey man, Faizan Ali Syed, 37, is accused of defrauding an Auburn Hills woman out of several hundred thousand dollars through a dating site. He faces multiple fraud and false pretenses charges, was arrested on August 3, and released on an $845,000 bond with a tether condition. Police recovered a small portion of the funds for the 70-year-old victim.
