Horse Thief Hollow’s Barrel-Aged Brew Wins Gold At U.S. Beer Championships

Horse Thief Hollow Brewing Co.'s Wrenly Rose, a Belgian-style barrel-aged pale beer, won gold at the U.S. Open Beer Championships in Ohio. The beer, aged in oak Pinot Noir barrels for 26 months, was developed by head brewer Jake Nelson and assistant brewer Andrian Morrison, who selected barrels and blended aged beer with fresh beer to achieve its complex flavor profile.
