3 lions die at zoo as Japan bakes in "cruelly hot" summer
Three lionesses have died at Tama Zoological Park in Japan due to heat-related symptoms, as ten of the 16 lions there have shown decreased appetite and activity since mid-July. The zoo attributed the deaths to the 'cruelly hot' summer conditions.
