A North Philly nonprofit is taking a new approach to curb illegal dumping: ‘Here’s free money. Don’t dump here’
A North Philadelphia nonprofit, North10, is reducing illegal dumping by offering free $120 vouchers for legal waste disposal at a local recycling center. The program, using QR codes at five hotspots in Hunting Park and East Tioga, has diverted over 250,000 pounds of debris from being dumped in the neighborhood.
