Criminal record verification of Lahore's commercial drivers in the offing

Lahore's traffic police are verifying criminal records and driving histories of 348,000 commercial vehicle drivers after data showed they caused 48% of fatal road crashes. The initiative, led by Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi, aims to ban drivers with criminal records, repeated violations, or unsafe driving histories from operating commercial vehicles.
