Vale Approves Buyback and US$1.7bn Shareholder Payout
Vale's board approved a share buyback program of up to 100 million common shares over 18 months starting 19 August 2026. The program covers 2.3% of Vale’s equity, with a total shareholder remuneration of R$8.64bn (US$1.7bn).
