Homicide investigation underway in Uptown, CMPD says

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a homicide in Uptown Charlotte following a crash involving two cars at the intersection of East Fifth Street and North McDowell Street. Four victims were transported to hospitals, with one suffering a fatal gunshot wound and three sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Police confirm they are not seeking additional persons of interest at this time.
