Air Defenses Downed 445,000 Russian Targets Since 2022

Acting Defense Minister Evgeniy Khmara stated that Ukrainian air defense units have intercepted over 445,000 Russian aerial targets since February 2022, including cruise and ballistic missiles and drones. Ukrainian aviation has conducted over 38,000 combat sorties, destroying more than 12,000 threats. In July 2026, Russia launched 377 missiles, with Ukraine intercepting 29% of ballistic missiles due to a critical shortage of Patriot systems, though drone interception remained at 87%.
