Stricter punishment, speedy probe as President Murmu assents to tweaked anti-paper leak Bill
President Murmu has assented to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, which introduces stricter punishments and expedited investigations for exam paper leaks. The law ministry announced this through a gazette notification on July 31.
