Democratic Socialists awarded $5.2M in inheritance dispute despite family's objections
The Democratic Socialists of America won a $5.2 million inheritance from David Greenberg's will, which was contested by his nephew Martin Hecht. Greenberg's will directed funds to the New American Movement or its successor, and the judge ruled in favor of the DSA, which traces its origins to the New American Movement's 1982 merger.
