After years of debate, Stowe caps short-term rentals

Stowe has enacted regulations capping short-term rentals at 850, restricting non-residents from obtaining licenses after September 15, and implementing a lottery system once the cap falls below 850. The town currently has about 1,450 short-term rentals, with 600 classified as commercial or inactive.
