New fire sparks in southwest Colo.; emergency management officials tell residents to prepare to evacuate

A new fire called the Cross Canyon Fire is burning near the Colorado-Utah state line in Dolores County, prompting evacuations of two homes and warnings for other residents to prepare. The fire, which has burned over 150 acres, is being fought by Bureau of Land Management crews and airtankers near Squaw Canyon.
