Expansion of Manassas airport nearly cleared for takeoff

The Washington Manassas Airport in Virginia has received FAA environmental approval for its expansion, moving closer to commercial flights. Avports, the incoming operator, and local officials highlighted the milestone, with Part 139 certification remaining before projected 2027 service. The project aims for 30 daily commercial flights within a decade, with a terminal expansion budget of $75 million to $125 million.
