This is why a man put thousands of bees in his living room

Tim Huffman, a backyard beekeeper in Anchorage, Alaska, installed an observation hive in his living room to study bee behavior. The hive, connected to the outdoors via a pipe, allows him to monitor nectar and pollen storage, queen activity, and colony health. A minor escape of 200 bees occurred initially but was resolved without incident.
