[US] Direct TV Promotion

A small restaurant owner in the US received door-to-door sales pitches to lower their Spectrum Business internet and phone bill through a DIRECTV promotion. After signing paperwork and paying $40 for shipping, the owner received DIRECTV equipment but was told they must activate it to receive a Spectrum discount code. The owner is unsure if the promotion is legitimate or a scam.
