Beach Mothball Plot: Pair arrested over protected birds

Two Florida men, Christopher Monroe and Robert Czyszczon, were arrested for spreading hundreds of mothballs on a beach to deter protected black skimmer shorebirds. Wildlife officials traced the mothballs to Czyszczon, who owns a hotel, and found evidence of coordinated efforts to prevent the birds from nesting near his property.
