Former children’s services worker sentenced for sexually abusing children he babysat

Danel John Capid Santos, a former employee of the Alaska Office of Children’s Services, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually abusing multiple children under 13 while babysitting. He pleaded guilty to a consolidated count in March 2026 and will serve 15 years of probation and register as a sex offender for life.
