Person of interest identified as search for missing Hickory woman continues: What we know

A 58-year-old woman, Robin M. Doyle, went missing from her home in Hickory, North Carolina, and deputies suspect possible kidnapping. Catawba County Sheriff’s Office identified 54-year-old Leroy Allen Loper, a registered sex offender with felony convictions for kidnapping and sexual offenses, as a person of interest. Loper was arrested on unrelated sex offender registry violations and is held on a $200,000 bond.
