Mandela Barnes drops out of the Democratic primary for Wisconsin governor

Mandela Barnes withdrew from the Wisconsin governor's Democratic primary, citing support for democratic socialist Francesca Hong. Barnes is the third Democrat to exit the race, following Sara Rodriguez and Missy Hughes, as Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley reentered with Gov. Tony Evers' endorsement. The primary is set for Aug. 11, with U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany expected as the Republican opponent.
