New golf resort nearly ready for preview play

Candyroot Lodge, a 1,200-acre golf resort in South Carolina’s Sandhills region near Charlotte, is nearing completion of its first 18-hole course. Preview rounds are scheduled to begin Oct. 28, with passes available for purchase starting Sept. 8, allowing 40 players daily from Wednesday through Sunday.
