Chicagoans Can Vote On How Park District Should Spend $500,000. Here’s How To Cast Your Ballot

Chicago residents can vote on how the Park District allocates $500,000 for park improvements through participatory budgeting. The vote, open to those 13 and older, allows ranking four categories: Accessibility, public safety and inclusion; Recreation infrastructure; Permanent fixtures and park amenities; and Nature and beautification projects. Results will determine funding priorities, with construction starting in spring 2027.
