$9.2M program to help 140 families exit homeless shelters each year

Detroit officials and nonprofits launched a $9.2 million three-year program to help 140 families with minor children exit homeless shelters annually through rent aid and case management. The initiative, called 'Homeless to Housed,' combines rapid rehousing and tenant-based rental assistance to alleviate shelter overcrowding and address affordable housing shortages.
