US Congress hasn’t authorized Trump’s Iran war—or ended it

The House of Representatives voted to direct President Donald Trump to remove US forces from hostilities with Iran unless Congress authorizes them, while the Senate rejected a motion to bring a war powers resolution out of committee. Congress did not authorize the war or vote on the resolution itself.
