The Danube River has reached record-low water levels due to a prolonged drought and heat wave, disrupting tourism and industry across Central Europe. The low levels have exposed rocks, shipwrecks, and sand bars, forced cruise ships to dock far from cities, and marooned cargo vessels in Hungary, Bulgaria, and Serbia.
