Former Chargers linebacker Billy Ray Smith Jr. dies at 64, family announces

Billy Ray Smith Jr., a San Diego Chargers linebacker and College Football Hall of Famer, died at 64 due to dementia caused by CTE. He played 10 seasons with the Chargers, recorded 15 career interceptions, and later worked as a sports director and radio host. His father, Billy Ray Smith Sr., also played in the NFL.
