Scam started with call from credit card company of a fraudulent charge

A scam began with a call from Wells Fargo about a fraudulent $3k charge for guns. The scammer directed the victim to a fake police station, falsely accused them of money laundering linked to child kidnapping and sex trafficking, and required daily check-ins via Webex. The scam was uncovered when a prosecutor could not provide her office address.
