Judge rips DOJ’s ‘disturbing’ sentence ask for troubled man who drove into NYC temple

A disturbed man who drove his car into a Brooklyn synagogue will be released soon after a federal judge criticized the Department of Justice for seeking a harsher sentence based on a misunderstanding about the incident being a hate crime.
