France, Italy turn to native soccer coaches

France and Italy appointed native coaches Zinedine Zidane and Roberto Mancini for their men’s national soccer teams. The countries are among few to rarely use foreign coaches, contrasting with other nations that hired foreigners after prolonged failures. Italy had previously approached Pep Guardiola, who declined.
