Baton Rouge leads nation in construction job growth as industry pushes for federal funding

The Baton Rouge metro area led the nation with a 22% increase in construction jobs between June 2025 and June 2026. Industry officials are urging Congress to approve a new federal transportation funding bill before the current law expires on September 30.
