I-70 Floyd Hill project shifting from blasting to bridge construction

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has shifted the Floyd Hill project from rock blasting to bridge construction, marking a milestone as the project reaches its halfway point. Over 211 controlled blasts removed more than 765,511 tons of material, and crews will now focus on building 10 bridges using a specialized balanced cantilever segmental construction method.
