Hadi Matar convicted in terrorism trial over Salman Rushdie stabbing

Hadi Matar was convicted of federal terrorism charges in the 2022 stabbing of Salman Rushdie. A jury found him guilty of all charges, including engaging in an act of transnational terrorism. Matar is already serving a 25-year New York state prison sentence for an attempted murder conviction related to the attack.
