Man arrested after deputies say he assaulted girlfriend, abused her dog during argument

Kevin Anthony Monasterio, a 24-year-old man from South Miami-Dade, was arrested after deputies alleged he choked his girlfriend and abused her dog during a domestic dispute. The incident involved punching the dog, throwing it against a wall, and spraying it with a hose, followed by choking the victim and threatening to kill her and the dog. Monasterio was arrested and bonded out for $7,250.
