Feds pick Louisiana for potential nuclear campus

The U.S. Department of Energy has selected Louisiana as a potential site for a Nuclear Lifecycle Innovation Campus, alongside Utah, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Idaho. Louisiana proposes three hubs for nuclear energy functions, including uranium enrichment in Baton Rouge, small modular reactors in Northwest Louisiana, and waste disposal via offshore salt domes in Port Fourchon.
