Saudi bread ritual outgrows the riyal
The price of a traditional Saudi flatbread has risen from one to two riyals due to rising operational costs, including a 41% increase in gas cylinder prices. Bakers previously subsidized the bread's price through premium versions but can no longer sustain this practice. The ritual of queuing for the bread remains popular despite the increase.
