Residents return to a southern Lebanese village after a US-brokered agreement, in photos

Residents are returning to the damaged southern Lebanese village of Zawtar al-Gharbieh after a U.S.-brokered agreement allowed civilians to enter the area. The village, heavily damaged during Israel-Hezbollah fighting, has shattered homes and visible Israeli military presence nearby. A couple, Mahasen Faqih and Mohammed Sobeih, plan to stay in their destroyed home's grocery store until it is rebuilt.
